AIC-SKU × JNTUCEA
From Farm Produce to Market-Ready Enterprise.
Process. Innovate. Add Value. Build. Scale.
A common food-processing, product-development and entrepreneurship facility at Atal Incubation Centre - Sri Krishnadevaraya University (AIC-SKU), Ananthapuramu, established in partnership with JNTUCEA, supporting farmers, FPOs, SHGs, innovators, startups, students and aspiring food entrepreneurs.
Transforming Produce into Opportunity. Agricultural value does not end at cultivation. The AIC-SKU Food Processing & Value Addition Facility has been developed to help innovators and entrepreneurs move from raw agricultural produce to value-added, market-ready products and sustainable enterprises.
The facility provides access to processing infrastructure together with AIC-SKU's incubation ecosystem — enabling users to experiment, process, develop products, validate business opportunities and prepare for the market.
The facility is being strengthened as part of the collaboration between AIC-SKU Confederation and JNTUA College of Engineering, Ananthapuramu (JNTUCEA) under the DST-SEED project — "Climate Smart Cultivation of Groundnut and Tomato with Value Addition for Scheduled Caste Population in Anantapur District, Andhra Pradesh".
The initiative connects climate-smart cultivation with post-harvest value addition, food processing, entrepreneurship and market access — moving from smart cultivation in Phase 1, to food processing and value addition in Phase 2, followed by micro-enterprise/startup development and market linkages in Phase 3.
Suitable for supporting product development and processing activities around tomato-based value-added products.
Potential applications include:
Supporting cold-pressed groundnut oil processing and related value-addition opportunities.
Potential applications include:
Whether you have agricultural produce, a traditional food product, an innovative food idea, or an early-stage food business, AIC-SKU can help you explore the journey towards a viable enterprise.
*Targeted outcomes under subsequent project phases. Training and enterprise development are future-phase activities.
You don't just book a machine. You access an ecosystem.
AIC-SKU can support promising entrepreneurs across the enterprise journey:
Access to the facility, product trials and value-addition support.
Business fundamentals, entrepreneurship development and capacity building.
Access to domain experts, entrepreneurs and industry mentors.
Structured pre-incubation/incubation support for promising ideas and enterprises.
Guidance relating to FSSAI and other relevant regulatory requirements.
Support in positioning products for customers and markets.
Support for techno-economics, costing, pricing and sustainable business models.
Connections with relevant buyers, distributors, retailers and ecosystem partners.
Support for suitable products to explore larger Indian markets.
Guidance and ecosystem linkages for enterprises/products demonstrating export potential.
The facility is envisaged as an enterprise creation platform, not merely an equipment rental centre. Under the current DST-SEED initiative, AIC-SKU envisages facilitating approximately 2-5 Agri/Food Processing Startups & Micro-Enterprises through training, mentoring, incubation, product development and market-linkage interventions — including training in processing, packaging and FSSAI-compliant micro-enterprise development.
Have an idea, not yet a business? If you are a farmer, student, innovator or aspiring entrepreneur with an idea for a value-added food product, bring it to us — AIC-SKU can help you explore its entrepreneurial potential.
Submission of a booking request does not automatically confirm facility allocation. AIC-SKU will review the requirement and confirm availability, applicable charges, operating conditions and other requirements.
